I provide individual, clinical supervision to trainee and qualified counsellors and psychotherapists, either in person at my practice in Hindhead, Surrey, or online over Zoom. My focus as a supervisor is on ensuring that you feel fully supported in every aspect of your work. I offer a well-held, boundaried supervision space in which you can reflect on your practice in depth.
I also run clinical supervision groups online for up to 4 practitioners. Supervision groups are an excellent way for participants to connect with fellow professionals and share ideas for best practice. According to BACP rules, for groups of up to 4 participants you can count half the time for accreditation purposes (so for two hours of group supervision each member can claim one hour).
Supervision costs vary depending on group size and session duration: Fees
Modalities
I work within an integrative framework encompassing psychodynamic, existential, person-centred, cognitive behavioural, and relational transactional analysis modalities.
I am trained in a number of different supervision models (Carroll’s Integrative Model; Wosket & Page’s Cyclical Model; Hawkins & Shohet’s Seven-Eyed Model) and, as an integrative practitioner, provide supervision appropriate to your particular way of working.
Practitioner Self-Care
Supervision is an important part of practitioner self-care and, while the principal aim of our work together is ensuring that you are working safely, ethically and effectively with your clients, I am also interested in your wellbeing and development. I offer a facilitative, open-minded supervisory relationship in which your confidence and creativity can grow, enabling you to gain greater fulfilment from your work.
Relational Lens
I bring a relational focus to the supervision work and provide an opportunity for us to consider both the conscious and unconscious aspects of your relationship with your clients. We will look at the relational dynamics of the client-therapist-supervisor triad (and the wider context) and explore any parallel processes which may emerge, with implications for practice.
Ethical Practice
I have a solid grounding in professional ethical frameworks (BACP, UKCP etc) and a knowledge of current relevant laws and policies. As such I will support you in resolving any ethical dilemmas which might arise in your client work in a calm, considered and methodical way.
BACP Accreditation Process
For those practitioners wishing to apply for BACP accreditation I can support you through the process with professional and practical guidance.
